Pierce Brosnan has admitted he'd love to play James Bond again. The heartthrob actor was ditched after playing the dashing spy in four movies but says he'd love to be 007 again if the new Bond, Daniel Craig, doesn't work out.

He told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "If such a scenario arose, I would jump at it." Brosnan also warned Craig - who reportedly lost two teeth while filming fight scenes for Casino Royale - he should be prepared to get injured.

He said: "It never made it in to the papers, but I've had my face sliced open by a stuntman and a knee injury. But it's all part and parcel of being Bond.

"I'm afraid Daniel will have to face a lot more real-life injuries."

Last year, Brosnan revealed he was in shock for 24 hours after being axed as the sauce spy. The handsome actor said at the time: "It's over, it's over, it is absolutely over!

"It was their prerogative to change their minds. They can do it! It was disappointing. It was surprising. But I accepted the knowledge after 24 hours of being in shock."
