Osbourne's eldest daughter has lump removed from breast
April 7, 2005

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne's eldest daughter, Aimee, has had a lump removed from her breast and is undergoing treatment in Los Angeles, her mother said in a statement on Wednesday.

Sharon Osbourne, who herself is in remission after battling colon cancer, said 21-year-old Aimee had had a "breast cancer scare."

"She found a lump on her breast which she's had removed," Osbourne said in a statement without saying whether the lump was cancerous.

"The operation went very well on the whole but there have been a few minor complications and she will be having more treatment and lots of rest over the next few weeks.

"We're sure she'll make a complete recovery," Osbourne said.

Sharon and Aimee had been due to star alongside each other in a London production of The Vagina Monologues, but withdrew last week, citing Aimee's illness. Aimee was the only member of the family not to appear in the MTV reality show, The Osbournes, that catapulted the family to fame. - Sapa-AP
