Kylie voted most glamourous gal
May 30, 2008

Kylie Minogue has been voted the celebrity who is growing old most glamorously.

The 2 Hearts singer – who celebrated her 40th birthday earlier this week – beat fellow pop queen Madonna to the top spot, after more than 36 000 British music fans said they wanted to see her continue her career into her 70s.

Paul Stoddart, the senior product manager for Live Search UK, said: “With so many celebrities reaching milestone birthdays this year, we wanted to get the public's opinion on who they think will still be on top of their game in years to come.”

The poll, conducted by new celebrity barometer website xRank – which charts celebrities’ success by looking at how many times they are searched for on the internet every day – saw Amy Winehouse named as the celebrity most likely to retire early, after getting 30 percent of the vote.

In a separate poll from the new website, Atonement actress Keira Knightley took more than a third of votes for the people’s favourite new idol, followed by Harry Potter star Emma Watson with 20 percent.
