Lindsay getting sweet relief  Comments
July 29, 2010

Lindsay Lohan is comfort eating to help her deal with her time in prison.

The troubled actress - who is expected to be released from the Century Regional Correctional Facility in Lynwood, California, on either August 1 or 2 - has turned to Hershey's Twizzlers (a popular brand of fruit-flavoured American candy) to get her through her prison stay.

Speaking after a visit to see Lindsay on Wednesday, her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley said: "She's good. She's eating some Twizzlers."

Lindsay - who was sentenced to 90 days in prison, followed by 90 days in rehab, for violating the terms of her probation for her 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) charge - has reportedly also made demands for Ben and Jerry's ice cream during her stay.

Despite reports the 24-year-old star has had a difficult time since her prison stay began - being put into isolation because of hysterical crying and yelling fits - her lawyer insists she is doing fine and is using her time behind bars productively.

She explained: "She looks gorgeous. She's writing a lot. She's creating art. She's a beautiful, talented, creative woman and she's going to come out and surprise you all!"

However, Lindsay is reportedly upset about being ordered to enter a rehabilitation centre within 24 hours of leaving jail.

Holley revealed earlier this week: "She'd like to spend some time with her family, and there's at least some question as to whether or not she'll have to go directly to rehab.

"I think it would only be fair for her to spend some time with her family and that's what she'd like for me to emphasise to the judge."
